Metal to Wood Garage Door Conversion

In this video we have something a little different. Our customer has a homemade, concrete bomb shelter embedded in their garage. This shelter is attached to the house and the exterior wall and acts like a heat sink keeping the house much colder in the winter than it should be.

We’ve already insulated the garage / house party wall with 100mm of blanket insulation and 100mm of rigid insulation. Now we are swapping out the leaky metal garage door for a more sealed and insulated wooden one.

We’re sure the 200mm rigid insulation on the back of the garage door will make a big difference. We didn’t quote get it finished in one day.
